Thomas Poole

 

Thomas ”Tommy” Poole, 55, of Moorestown, died suddenly on Aug. 24, 2014 surrounded by family, and close friends, while being eased into the heavens by his favorite singer Jackson Browne. 

 

 

Tom dedicated 27 years to the Moorestown Board of Education tending to the playing fields in which championships were won. After being outsourced, he quickly gained employment with GCA services as Grounds Manager for Monroe Township. 

More importantly, Tom dedicated 28 years as a Volunteer with the Moorestown Fire Department and Life Member of the Relief Engine Company on Chester Avenue.

Tom rose through the ranks as Lt., Captain, Battalion Chief, and finally Assistant Chief his time with the department were some of his happiest, and fulfilling years. 

He was survived by his loving wife of 33 years Patricia (nee Paul) daughter Heather (Paul) Epright and son Justin. Tom was the youngest of 5 brothers, Edward, Richard, Joseph, and Robert. He leaves behind his grandson Brayden, and many loving nieces and nephews. We can’t forget to mention his cats, Shiethead, and Cody.
